Traveling by air for a business trip can become a much better experience if you have someone’s air travel tips at the back of your head.

There are countless things that one can plan for business traveling in order to have a nice and comfortable flight and there are numerous air travel tips available online. But like any other thing, it is from others’ personal experience that one can settle for the finest few, which are not only easy to remember and implement but outsmart any other flight travel tips.

For the same reason, I thought I’d share some tips that have worked wonders for me over the years.

Give choosing the right seat a high priority.

I, like many others, used to be one of those travelers who would ignore all air travel tips there are and say to myself that I’ll get what I deserve. But you need to trust me when I say now that spending the few extra minutes either choosing the seat online or paying extra for a better seat is probably the best gift you can give yourself on a flight.

There are many different stories on which kind of seat worked best for who, so I’d recommend that you make your own opinion with time about that. For first time business travelers, just go for the window seat – this gives you two important advantages over everyone who doesn’t have a window seat: you have something to lean on to sleep and you don’t need to wake up or be uncomfortable because your neighbor wants to go to the toilet.

Always have headphones by your side

Some people tend to say that if you have means to catch the in-flight entertainment, you will probably never get in the mood to sleep/rest on the flight. But what those airplane travel tips would never say is that if headphones can be your rescue if you just can’t do anything else. Better still, sometimes melodic instrumentals available on the in-flight music list can prove to be just the lullaby you were yearning for. And if you want to take this to an even higher level, carry a noise cancelling headphone with you so that all you hear is your music.

Be mindful about your airline carry on

Again, some would tell you that any hassles linked to your airline carry on would be short-lived and worth the extra things you will have accessible. What I’d like to share about that is this: it can sometimes be anything but short-lived. If your extra carry on ends up by your legs, then there goes the little leg-room that you had.

Saving time means more time spent (sometimes)

And sometimes, the time you think you would save on departing and checking in with just the airline carry on as your luggage would make your business trip swifter than usual, but you might just end up having to put your carry on luggage away from your seat just because there’s too much. And that would kill any advantage you had to begin with.

To sum it all up, don’t think about too many things or too many options that you can choose from, just keep things simple and have a great time flying.

As time passes by, change comes along. This principle also applies in rules and regulation of a particular country. One of the best examples is the new rules in air travel. Each month, there is a significant change in policies to meet the demands and provide safety to passengers. If you are used in travelling through plane from one place to another, you would really notice these distinct changes. All airports have some rules in common according to the protocol of a particular country or state. Most changes occur in the security system. We know for a fact that there are so many checkpoints to be cleared before you can finally be on board. Even if you are in a hurry on not, you still need to undergo the same process since there will be nobody who is exempted to the general rule or else, the safety of the people could be jeopardized. Most passengers are advised to check and be familiar with the security system before the actual day of the flight. By doing this, you will never run out of time. It is a good idea to know about the travel rules of a particular place. If you have questions while you are familiarizing some things, do not hesitate to consult or ask the authorities. It is best to be well-informed as early as possible since being in a hurry during the day of your flight could be quiet uneasy to your part especially if it is your first visit to the place.

As you enter to the airport, you must be aware already that there will be more than one checkpoint. Usually, there are three of them depending on the policy of the state. First, you will be checked as you will register your seat number on the plane. It is the moment wherein you will present you plane tickets and boarding passes. Handling your luggage is also necessary in this assessment. They will also check your identification card if it goes according to the data in your plan ticket. You can hand over your valid student’s identification card, driver’s license, professional license and any kinds of valid identification cards. Once your luggage has been checked, it will now be brought to the plane. Make sure that there is nothing delicate in your baggage since it will be placed under the plane in the baggage area. If you have fragile items with you, it is suggested to carry them on. Firearms or any sharp objects are strictly prohibited so never attempt to bring one. It will only cause you a lot of delay once they will find out that you’re carrying harmful objects and deadly weapons.

Second, you will now pass through an x-ray machine wherein your carryon luggage will also be screened. Any form of metals will be easily detected by their metal detector. You will be advised to remove all your jewelry as well as your shoes. Just follow rules promptly so that all things will go smoothly and fast. Before you will board, they will conduct the final security check. You will then again present your boarding pass and identification card. This step is quiet fast and easy as long as you are not suspicious in appearance. If you have nothing against the rules, then try to relax and stay calm. Do not be nervous since it is only an assessment that would ensure protection and safety to the public.
